blog #2

The legacy which Dr. King left in the case of voting rights was the ability for African Americans to have their voices heard by the government. With the influence of the civil rights movement promoted the right to be heard, and they wanted to preserve the right by protecting the voters rights which enacted the Voters Rights Act, which placed a law to protect African Americans or anyone of color. This act still has a great deal of power and should still stay in effect as a reminder of the harsh times we once had and to prevent this from ever happening again.
